Monoclonal antibodies
CT601: Chlamydia genus-specific LPS monoclonal antibody, MAb29
Western blot and FITC stained L2-infected McCoy epithelial cells, using monoclonal antibody 29 (Skilton et al., 2007.). Reactivity also confirmed to C. pneumoniae, C. muridarum, C. abortus and C. psittaci.
CT602: C. trachomatis species-specific MOMP monoclonal antibody, MAb6ciii
Western blot and FITC stained L2-infected McCoy epithelial cells, using monoclonal antibody 6ciii. This antibody binds to a surface-expressed epitope specific to B-complex C. trachomatis when viable cells are assayed. A second epitope common to both B- and C-complex C. trachomatis is present, but is not surface expressed; thus 6ciii should bind denatured protein extracts from all C. trachomatis MOMPs (Conlan et al., 1989).
CT603: C. pneumoniae species-specific MOMP monoclonal antibody, P33
FITC stained IOL-207-infected McCoy epithelial cells, using monoclonal antibody P33. Also previously shown to bind C. pneumoniae CWL-029 (Ni et al., 1994). Please note: not recommended for use in western blot.
